Born in Constanta a picturesque city by the seam Romania. Living in Suffolk, UK. Working mainly with sculpture that explores architecture, installation and painting. In 2012 organises and curates his first exhibition 'The Future' at UCS featuring the work of 22 of his peers. in 2013 he organised 'SNIP', a fringe exhibition of SNAP: Art at Aldeburgh Festival. He worked with Sarah Lucas and Ryan Gander. Costache built a major public sculpture, 'Neverending Line', at Futura Park, Ipswich.
Graduated with a First Class (BA) Honours Degree in Fine Art from UCS in 2014. His work is often characterised by a combination of witty folklore, technology and universal themes. Emerging like color candy in the ethereal space that makes the material world wonder Costache's sculptures are some kind of a new breed. A contemporary cargo where Brancusi meets Jeff Koons meets Super Mario Land.
Costache recently worked with Matthew Darbyshire at the Big Shed, Iken. This year, two of his sculptures were featured in a new video (below) that celebrates the young businesses from Ipswich. He is currently working on his sculptures and creates colourful designs for public spaces in England. As of September 2014 he is a Visiting Teacher for the Art and Design course at West Suffolk College.
